In 2010, a devastating earthquake hit Haiti and killed an estimated 300,000 Haitians.  Thousands that did survive had to have one or both legs amputated, as they were crushed underneath falling buildings.  3 Cords reaches out to these survivors and providing jobs for women and men to empower them to provide for themselves and their families.

31 Bits

Using fashion and design to fight poverty, 31 Bits employs women in northern Uganda and men in Bali to make beautiful, on-trend jewelry.

Amani is a sewing and reconciliation program for marginalized women in Africa. They work in Rwanda, Burundi, Uganda, Liberia, and Kenya, and all goods are locally sourced.

Rahab’s Rope

A ministry to former victims of human trafficking in India, Rahab’s Rope works with artisans to produce scarves, headbands, and other accessories and household items for sale. They have several centers around India, including the city of Goa.

Redeemed Ministries

Women who are caught in human trafficking here in Texas find hope through Redeemed Ministries, a Christian organization that helps survivors of adult domestic sex trafficking by offering a safe environment for holistic healing and addressing physical, emotional, relational and spiritual healing.

Sak Saum

Women who work for Sak Saum have all been rescued out of human trafficking and now find a safe place to work at Sak Saum in Siem Reap, Cambodia.

Sisterhood Soap

As a project of the Preemptive Love Coalition, Sisterhood Soap is fighting the damage of ISIS by empowering men and women to care for their families in Syrian refugee camps in Iraq.

 

Seek Justice

A project of New Hope Community Church, Seek Justice works to start small-scale businesses in Mnarani, Kenya and provide seamstresses an opportunity to produce handmade goods for American markets as a way to help mothers provide for their children.

Sseko Designs

A fashion brand based in Uganda, the girls in the Sseko program make beautiful leather sandals with interchangeable fabric straps that can be styled in hundreds of ways. Sseko began as a way to generate income for high potential, talented young women to continue on to university, and it really works!

Thistle Farms

Based in Nashville, TN, Thistle Farms is a powerful community of women who have survived prostitution, trafficking and addiction. They employ more than 50 survivors through a social enterprise that produces natural body care products.  

Ugandan Gold

The coffee of Ugandan Gold is produced on a 36 acre farm in Wambabya, Uganda. Providing work for 38 full time  workers, they use the profit from coffee sales to support health care initiatives, fresh water well drilling and new economic development for the people of Uganda.

Sudara, formerly known as the International Princess Project, works with victims of human trafficking in India to empower them through handmade PUNJAMMIES and other comfortable apparel that lets you “wear hope” in your very own home.

In Kolkata, India, Sari Bari works to offer freedom to women who are trapped in the sex trade and to provide opportunity to women who are vulnerable to trafficking by providing employment in a safe, loving environment, where women are trained as artisans.

The GO Exchange is a project of the Global Orphan Project, a global Orphan Care and Orphan Prevention ministry that works in Haiti and Uganda.
